Prof. Gök was born in 1945 in Mersin. Completed high school in Robert College in Istanbul. Took undergraduate and master's degree in Middle East Technical University and his doctorate education in Istanbul Technical University. Prof. Dr. Tamer Gök worked as lecturer in Middle East Technical University between 1971-1984, as visiting professor at John Hopkins University in 1978 and as instructor between 1986-1998 in Çukurova University. Prof. Gök took place in the teaching staff of Faculty of Architecture, at Mersin University since 1998. He is also the Director of Center for Mediterranean Urban Studies.

Took his bachelor’s degree in 1996 and master’s degree in 1999 in City and Regional Planning, Middle East Technical University (METU) with a study “Pedestrian Zones as Communication Environments, Case Study: Yüksel Pedestrian Zone - Ankara“. Work as Part-time Instructor in METU between 1997-2000. Completed the City and Regional Planning PhD Program of METU in 2007 with the doctoral dissertation “Spatial Organization of Service Activities in Ankara”. Took part in various urban and regional planning projects and scientific research projects of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and Scientific Research Units of different universities.

Specialist at the University of Mersin. Received BA degree from Department of City and Regional Planning at Gazi University and MA Degree from Department of History at Mersin University. Had researches about urban history of Mersin, especially focused on the end of nineteenth century and the beginning of twentieth century. Took place in projects concerning regeneration of historic city centers, inventory of cultural and historical assets and oral history. Main interest areas are urban history and oral history. Has been working at the Centre for Mediterranean Urban Studies at Mersin University since 2001

Born in 1984, in Batman. Took bachelor’s degree in 2008 from the Department of City and Regional Planning, Middle East Technical University, Ankara. Worked in various research centers and planning offices as researcher and urban-planner between 2008-2010. She continues her education at the Master Program of Urban Design, Middle East Technical University and the Department of Management, Anatolian University. Belge works at the Center for Mediterranean Urban Studies in Mersin University since October, 2010
